02. Wireless sharing

What the ST1000(CL65) and ST550(TL225) recently released have in common is that they have small size and slim thickness and rich function and upgraded lens compared with existing products.

Metallic Silver

The front composed of fine aluminum material is placed by flash, AF-assist light/timer lamp and lens in sequence stating SAMSUNG Logo on the upper right side. Microphone is hung at exquisite position as if it looks like a part of lens specification below flash. GPS antenna, one of the main functions of the ST1000(CL65) is placed on the upper side of center.

On the upper side, product name, zoom button, shutter button, POWER button and GPS antenna are placed in sequence.

On the back side of the ST1000(CL65), 3.5 inch wide touch LCD of 1.15 million pixels equal to that of the ST550(TL225) is placed and Wi-Fi mark showing this product is wireless internet support equipment, status light, speaker and playback button are placed.

When it comes to finishing touches, the ST1000(CL65) looks similar to the ST550(TL225) by stressing the front with color line.  The design of the ST1000(CL65) becomes much simpler and more elaborated.

As transmission method is intuitive interface fully applying the strong point of touch interface, it is very simple to use. In the event of old model mobile phone, in the case that high pixel image can’t reproduce, the pictures are sent by automatically being readjusted with 640X480 VGA size.

Users can make a personal map for travel or fine restaurants by marking shooting places on the map while interlocking web mapping service like Google.

Users can record easily by using Picasa Web Albums or Panoramio.com interlocking Google Earth.  If using this information, it’s possible to find out where the picture was shot and share friends with it.

03. Smart

And though you try to fine background picture, it is very difficult to take pictures with optimum exposure due to strong difference between light and darkness. The ST1000(CL65) is equipped with best 5x inner zoom 35-175mm (F3.6-F4.8) Schneider Lens. Though it doesn’t have a good wide angle lens, its telephoto lens can support further distance than that of general digital cameras and has satisfactory brightness for inner zoom. So it can appeal to users.

The ST1000(CL65) is equipped with mechanical type image stabilization (OIS) and electronic type image stabilization (Advanced IS). They reduce the possibility of taking blurry pictures when shooting indoors or museums etc.

The attractive features of touch screen of the ST1000(CL65) are Smart Touch AF allowing you to track and auto-focus on your subject with touch and One Touch Shooting. 06. 12.2M & Epilogue

12,2M pixels, 1/2.3” CCD ideal for snapshot

The ST1000(CL65) is equipped with 12, 2M pixel CCD. Maximum resolution is 3968 x 2976 enough for print except extra large one. As details became better with the improvement of image processing and maximum resolution reaches about 4000x3000, there is no problem even though you crop the photo with a 5x zoom lens and enlarge it more than that with 10x zoom lens.

Improved white balance

It provides general white balance and manual one and auto white balance has been improved.

Various aspect ratio

Aspect ratio is realized by cropping the upper and lower side. From 3:2 ratio for print to 16:9 for HD, though a user can crop after shooting by 4:3, it is easier to use automatic ratio adjustment in the camera.

Improved high sensitivity

Thanks to the improvement of image processing, RGB noise has been decreased noticeably. As noise reduction was not applied in ISO 80, 100, and 200, details were good. From ISO 400, the noise reduction was applied and details were decreased a little. But they appeared to be cleaner than in low sensitivity.

ACB & AEB

ST1000(CL65) provides Auto Contrast Balance (ACB) and Auto Exposure Balance (AEB) like DSLR. With AEB, you can take a bright picture in particular situation by shooting 3 photos having different exposure. And with ACB, you can take a good photo by naturally compensating darkness in backlight.

It is said that the basic principle of invention is plus and minus. Cameras have also evolved by it. SAMSUNG has released ST1000(CL65) with the wireless function after various convergence cameras embedded with PMP, MP3 Player etc.

If you like pictures, you may make a trip to take good photos. And you may take a shot to keep the beautiful scenery permanently. I really welcome ST1000(CL65) that provides GPS and WI-FI.
