The first model that yepp logo is not shown on the product for the very first time among all yepp products.
It is YP-K3.

K3 is slim. The top picture shows the appearance that the front side of K3 is faced down.

K3 that is seen in real is not much different to the pictures shown above. It might sound little bit provocative, but I can express the exterior design of K3 as following. Compared to any other mobile devices of any brands, K3 design is not going to succumb.

K3 is simple. Design, GUI and function are all simple. It does not have special functions apart from playing music and FM radio and viewing text and images. K3 is a product for people who are looking for a real music playing among multi functional convergence products.

T5 (year 2003) -> T8 (year 2005) -> Z5 (year 2006). The sound quality of YEPP is keep developing.
K3 is the state that is developed delicately compared to these models after passing through Z5 -> T9 -> K5.

Apart from USB cable that is included in the components, it can be charged by using 24 pin mobile phone charger.

Screen display

For GUI of K3, Blue Lighting OLED drawn with dots is used.
It is very easy and straight forward GUI. Please refer to the following image for K3 GUI.

Button functions

All buttons except the hold button are touch pad. All operation buttons are placed on the front side of the product, so everybody can play with K3 without difficulties.

User setting function

Users can set details. Setting functions are divided into screen, time, language and system.

For setting on music, photo and FM radio, please refer to number 3. For K3, it allocates menu setting of main functions within the category of corresponding function to users be able to set quickly.

1. Display setting

Screen saver: You can set an image to use as a screen saver. Select either <Analog Clock>, <Animation1>, <Animation2> <Animation3>, and <Photo> and set the wait time. <Photo> is a photo you designated as a screen saver in <Add to Screen Saver>. You can select from <15sec>, <30sec>, <1min>, <3min>, <5min>, and <Off>. If no button is tapped within the time set shown above, the player will display the screen saver image.

Display Off: If no button is tapped within the time set shown below, the screen display will automatically turn off. Select either <15sec>, <30sec>, <1min>, <3min>, <5min>, and <Always On>. With the display turned off, tap any button to turn back on the screen display.

2. Time setting

Sleep Timer: Turns off power automatically after the preset time. Select either <Off>, <15min>, <30min>, <60min>, <90min>, or <120min>.

Auto Power Off: Automatically turns power off when there is no button operation after the preset time in the pause mode. Select either <15sec>, <30sec>, <1min>, <3min>, or <5min>.

Date/Time Set: You can set the current date and time.

3. Language setting

Menu language: You can set the menu language.

ID3 Tag language setting: You can set the language for track information. Select from <Afrikaans>, <Basque>, <Catalan>, <Chinese(S)>,<Chinese(T)>, <Czech>, <Danish>, <Dutch>, <English>, <Finnish>, <French>, <German>, <Hrvatski>, <Hungarian>, <Icelandic>, <Italian>, <Japanese>, <Korean>, <Norwegian>, <Polish>, <Portuguese>, <Romany>, <Russian>, <Slovak>, <Slovene>, <Spanish>, and <Swedish>.

The supported languages can be added/changed.

4. System setting

Resume: You can set the start point where the player resumes playback after you stop playing the music. Selecting <On> will resume playback from the last stopped point while <Off> will resume playback from the beginning of the last played file.

Beep: Enables button sounds. Select either <On> or <Off>.

Volume Limit: You can avoid hearing damage by setting the limit of the volume when using the earphone. <On> will limit the maximum volume level up to 20. The maximum volume level when Volume Limit is set to <Off> can be listened.

FM Region setting: You can select your regional area for FM radio. Select from <Korea/USA>, <Japan> and <Other Countries>.

Default Set: It returns all settings to the default value.

About: You can check the firmware version, memory capacity and file number.

Firmware Version: Displays the current firmware version. Please refer to the firmware upgrade for the method of firmware upgrading

Memory: Indicates the remaining memory capacity. <Used> indicates the usage, <Remain> indicates the remaining capacity and <Total> indicates the total memory capacity.

Files : <Music> indicates the number of music files, <Photo> for the number of photos, <Text> for the number of texts, and <Total> for the number of entire files.

If it is set as a default, all settings are set as its initial values.
The actual built-in memory capacity is slightly less than indicated as the internal firmware uses a portion of the memory.
